The most famous meditation

YOGA NIDRA

Wintertime of stillness and slowness when the nights are longer and we are more focused inward are ideal for Yoga Nidra meditation. Why is this meditation so popular and effective on a first bite? Yoga Nidra promotes deep rest and relaxation as no other meditation does.

Yoga Nidra saved me through the first lockdown. I almost had it once a day. And it was an absolute total makeover of my nervous, energy, and body system. So how to say it in simple words? What is Yoga Nidra?

Who can practice yoga nidra

The first and most important is accessible to everyone; we can all do it without prior knowledge or theory. While you rest in Shavasana (corpse pose), this systematic meditation takes you through the Five koshas (five layers of the Self), gently taking you into blissful moments of peace. As it is commonly known, Yogic sleep is a powerful meditation technique and one of the most comfortable yoga practices to develop and maintain.

Yoga Nidra is a natural practice that everybody can do regardless of body-mind ability. All you need is to lie down and follow the guiding voice. Every time you go through Nidra’s new, you encounter a new sensation—and they are all good. You don’t need to control or fix anything. Falling asleep is okay, too, as you will still receive benefits while the unconscious mind absorbs the practice.
Yoga Nidra is also the practice for your mind, as you guide your mind to intentionally follow and scan your body relaxation, part after part. You will discover your mind coming and going bothering your work. You will go through a body scan and breath awareness to profound peace.

How to access easy practice

Yoga Nidra is always guided and can be as short as five minutes and as long as an hour. It goes deeper than hypnosis; your teacher is merely a facilitator. You are the captain of your practice.

You choose the length.

There are so many on the web, and I always ask for the soothing mellow voice, as most important to me, with concise audio. It’s easiest to include it in your daily practice as a part of your daily bedtime routine. You will probably drift off to healthy sleep.

And suppose you have time during the day. In that case, by doing it in the middle of the day, you will stay alert and feel totally rejuvenated afterwards.

There are some steps in yoga Nidra:

Think of your desire

Set your Intention

Find your inner Self

Feel Your Body

Become Aware of Your Breath

Welcome Your Emotions

Witness Your Thoughts

Feel the emotions

What happens in yoga nidra

It provides a window to Self; we listen to our body being now, our heart beating, mind jumping, and the energy floating. It brings out your real needs at the moment. You are met with your emotions that you feel free to release and let go of it if considered unhealthy. It’s the position of you observing your feelings and managing them into directories. You choose what emotions to let go of what to cherish. With time you become able to connect your emotions with feelings.

Over time, our mind creates deep mental impressions that can cause negative emotions and reactions that prevent us from feeling oneness or completeness. It’s like our emotional Self cannot integrate fully with other layers: energetic, physical, wisdom, and bliss body. Negative emotions are like blockage knots in our active field that prevent the free flow of energy and our sense of wholeness.

what is sankalpa

This is where we act on with Sankalpa or the Intention of your practice. You enter into yourself with a clear idea of what you want to work on. Usually, the guide leads you to choose your Sankalpa at the beginning of the session.
What happens is that going deeper into this impression or samskara, it becomes easier to understand your feelings and release them into the ocean of consciousness and liberate harmful ones. If practised with consistency and awareness, you may likely discover that you can find a sense of peace in a short period.
Beware that sometimes we might be faced with unpleasant emotions as we lie down. Everything that needs to come upsurges onto the surface. Our current feelings, images, and memories are not always comfortable. We learn how to go in and let feelings come out without attachment. Accepting the stressors and not connecting to them.

We sadly inform you that our plan for group Nidra at Wellness Saturday unfortunately is cancelled due to COVID situation.

It will be scheduled for our next meeting after morning asana and relaxation in the spa.

There are a number of different approaches to Yoga Nidra currently around the world, and they can all be valuable, effective means to reconnect to the experience of truth and freedom.

I truly believe that Yoga Nidra is one of the most efficient and accessible forms of contemporary medicine and spiritual practice affordable to anyone.

And yes, we are don’t like when our meetings are cancelled. But is only for a while. We will come back stronger and braver.

CONNECT TO YOUR HIGHER SELF

The practices of yoga and meditation can help us know our higher self a bit better. Taking time to retreat helps us profoundly understand ourselves so we can have the life we dream of.

Our dreams can manifest from imagination into reality.
I invite you to bravely stand up to the parts of you that hold you back and go to that Retreat.

Your soul will thank you.
