Your agenda

Each morning begins with tea, coffee or smoothie and a gentle vinyasa flow class to prepare our body, cleanse and revitalise our joints, limbs, muscles, and nervous system.

After a short break we go inward through the practice of Pranayama and finish with meditation to let go and release. It will then be time to nourish our body.

Afternoon activity will be either on SUP board paddling and doing asana, trekking or sunbathing. Foodies among us can join food preparation workshops where we prepare local ingredients in contemporary healthy styles.

We will end the day with a gentle sunset gratitude yoga class (vinyasa or yin yoga class) or, sometimes, if you wish, a restorative session.

Then whoever wants, can practice silence or “Mauna” after evening meditation through to the next day’s brunch time.

MEET YOUR TEACHER

If you are Split local and haven’t met Ivana Šalov and her versatile practice now is the moment.  Her formal education in Ashtanga & Vinyasa Yoga yoga started a decade ago with 200-hours teacher training in Zagreb, Croatia.  Being a “forever student” she completed another 200 hours teacher training in Integral Vinyasa Yoga, then 300-hours teacher training in Portugal with Spanda Yoga School. Her teacher was Nina Vukas, one of the most renowned teachers of Vinyasa Yoga in Europa. She has continued practicing with renowned teachers around the globe – Janet Stone, Shiva Rea, Adam Husler, Celeste Pereira to name a few. She has gone on to complete 50 hours Yin Yoga teacher training with Bernie Clark in Vancouver, Canada, Prenatal Teacher Training.and her SUP, SUP Yoga & SUP Fitness Teacher Training in San Diego, California.

Ivana Šalov. Ivana having practiced yoga for a number of decades, believes in the power of simple things – mindfulness, movement and breathing – as ways to grow happier, more conscious & confident.

For Ivana, movement is an emotion and yoga is an art of living and expressing emotions. Body, movement and breath are her eternal inspirations so her love for Vinyasa flow yoga and the sensitivity she incorporates into her practice is not surprising.

Not mentioning water when we speak about Ivana would be totally amiss, as the essence of water is very important in Ivana’s life and in her teaching. “Be like water my friend” is the quote of Bruce Lee she likes to use in her classes. Being on the water is a unique way to achieve balance and inner peace, allowing all senses to absorb the beauty of SUP Yoga practice.

Whether a beginner on a SUP or seasoned practitioner, Ivana will teach you the basics, along with water safety while enhancing your proper stance, form and paddle techniques. You will learn to move at a gentle pace as you balance the mind & body through meditation, breathing techniques and asanas (physical posture) in class..

"After having practised with many different teachers focused on different yoga styles, I finally met Ivana and her vinyasa practice. I’ve been attending Ivana’s yoga classes for two years and became totally addicted. Her yoga practice is methodologically perfectly organised yet simple and easy to follow. As a great communicator, Ivan transfers her knowledge easily and spontaneously. Her creativity and passion for yoga are seen in every class she does, as she never repeats the same flow twice. She is one of those yoga teachers who really ‘practice what they preach’. Over the course of these two years of practising with Ivana, I got so caught up in yoga that I am about to finalise my TT200. She is truly an inspiration, and joining her class might be a life-changing decision."

"Ivana is a great teacher, and also a genuinely lovely person. I consider myself lucky to have found such a grounding, compassionate and inspiring yoga teacher. Her teaching style, clarity and calmness make yoga accessible for everyone. Her voice is very pleasant, directions are clear and precise so you don't need to keep checking you’re doing the right thing. And although you’ve worked hard, at the end of the class you’ll come out content, relaxed and centered. Thank you for making me fall in love with yoga!"
Ksenija M
"I only started Ivana's classes because my ballet studio closed due to covid (and hasn't reopened thus far). But now, I find myself so happy with her yoga, that I'm not sure how I will be able to choose between the two. Her flows are different each time. Sometimes, the asanas seem to be almost the same, but the energy of the practice is completely different, and you get a whole new thing. That is, I think, what I love most about Ivana: she creates wonderful, interesting, energizing, rejuvenating flows. I love it that she takes time to prepare our bodies and minds for our practice, and then she makes us work hard, not because we have to, but because we want to. After practicing with her, even when the practice is challenging for me, my mane sensation is a sort of sweetness, both in my body and in my mind. I suspect that breathe, never forgotten in Ivana's classes, has a lot to do with that. I never want to miss my yoga class. I go there to enjoy myself – and the progress comes as a natural consequence."
